Here's your chance to play Descent with Kevin Wilson! |
| Realms of Terrinoth 2010 | Published 05 March 2010 | Rating | 19 votes |

“[Descent is] sometimes a brutal battle against horrific monsters, sometimes a heroic adventure tale of treasure and exploration, and sometimes a measured tactical challenge... Some days the game is a fierce contest between cutthroat and determined players, some days it’s a casual romp. Individual quests can be tense or relaxed, serious or funny, skirmishes or wars, and still be uniquely Descent: Journeys in the Dark. It isn’t just a game, it’s a toy box.”
– Kevin Wilson, 2009

How about a game of Doom, eh Mr Wilson? Too bad I'm not in the US, but if I do go there...
haha I agree!! i live in Australia and get excited when I see comments like play Kevin Wilson in Descent then find out its in the US...:(...why oh why!
... and if I lived within a hundred miles of the event center... I would be there for this event. And many of the other events. I guess there are pros and cons to living in sunny southern California. :)
I agree with David and soooo wish there was something similar near by. there was a comment about local game shops... but, I have yet to see a game store that looks even slightly like the event center. Almost every game store I have been in has no regard for cleanliness and has no where near the right amount of space to actually hang out and play games.
If I had the guts and money to open a game store... you would all be impressed. And people would travel for miles to hang out and to shop for games. I have the plans all worked out.
"someday the awesomeness of FFG theme parks will spread across the globe!"
You mean, like your local game shop?
Toe mittens. A.K.A Socks.
Yes, this is wonderful. But I have to say as someone who doesn't live anywhere near Minneapolis and has a very slim chance of ever getting there, I find these announcementswhile understandablefrustrating. It's like constantly being brought up to the window of a candy store and being told to look at all the deliciousness inside but know you'll never be able to get in. It would feel better to me if there were a campaign to open similar game centers in other parts of the country so that those of us elsewhere could have more of a chance to participate.
Even Disneyland branched out to other parts of the country! (Of course, Disney Enterprises makes a lot more money to do things with than FFG...but that will change: someday the awesomeness of FFG theme parks will spread across the globe!)
This is very cool! I have to say I love the idea of the Event Center and how FFG supports gaming there. It shows a genuine commitment to the hobby. It makes me wish I lived closer.
I have a dream that one day there will be Realms of Terrinoth in the U.K. and Kevin Wilson will be there !
Very awesome. Hopefully we'll get the chance to play Arkham Horror with him sometime as well.
